Kurgo was founded in 2003 by two brothers, Kitter & Gordie Spater, who grew up exploring the woods of Vermont with their dogs. They learned the importance of quality from their parents who were apparel manufacturers, retailers, and entrepreneurs. Kurgo designs & manufactures everything you need to Go Together with your dog whether going to the dog park or across the country on an epic road trip.
Each product we create is an innovative solution that makes traveling or being outdoors with your dog easier, safer, and much more fun. Kurgo’s product line includes everything from car seat covers and car harnesses for travel, leashes & collars for walking, to dog backpacks, coats and booties for outdoor adventures.

You can often find Kitter out back stitching together his next product idea, or Gordie traveling the country meeting with retailers, getting feedback to continuously improve our products and customer service process. As brothers with an entrepreneurial background and complementary skillsets, it was natural for them to work together.
